Revolutionary Design, Unmatched Quality, and Classic Style.

Created in 2004 in Neuchâtel, Hautlence has become known for producing avant-garde and creative watches. The unique designs, which include intricate mechanical movements and unusual display systems, have helped the brand become famous throughout the years. It frequently combines conventional watchmaking techniques with cutting-edge materials and technology to create one-of-a-kind, coveted wristwatches. Celebrating 20 years of revolutionary design, unmatched quality, and classic style.

From the very beginning, Hautlence has redefined the art of horology with its innovative designs and intricate mechanical movements, always pushing the limits of conventional watchmaking. In honour of this momentous occasion, let's revisit some of the pivotal moments and accomplishments that have moulded the remarkable history of the brand.

Guillaume Tetu and Renaud de Retz were two of five founders of Hautlence, a watchmaking revolutionista company, that ventured out from their base in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, in 2004. With the introduction of the unique HL calibre and its leaping hour display, which fascinated collectors and enthusiasts, the HL Collection reached a major milestone in 2005. Introduced in 2009, the "Concept d'Exception" series demonstrated Hautlence's dedication to innovation as the company progressed through the years. The HLQ's love of cutting-edge materials, inventive designs, and intricate details made it possible for subsequent calibres, like the HLC in 2010 and the HL2.0 in 2011.

With the acquisition of H. Moser & Cie. and Precision Engineering AG by MELB Holding in 2012, Hautlence saw a significant transition. The brand was able to retain its independence while benefiting from more resources and a wider global audience. To further establish Hautlence as a major participant in the independent watchmaking scene, the HL2.0 Collection was unveiled in 2014.

The Vortex model, the second installment of the "Concept d'Exception" series, will be released in 2015. The HL2.0 calibre, although redesigning and technically reinventing it, retains the half trailing chain for the hours and retrograde minute. Three patents safeguard this genuine artistic creation.

With the release of the Playground collection in 2016, Hautlence is bringing mechanical gaming inspiration to a halt. One may "unplug" for a few minutes and lose themselves in a game for enjoyment with Hautlence's Labyrinth and Pinball models, two non-telling watch items; it's a hymn to recapturing a slow pace. In Hautlence, time is reimagined and embraced by repurposing the watchmaking item for its original purpose. Totally engrossed in the race against the clock to make sure the action never ended. With the 2017 Invictus collection, the company broadened its offerings and aimed to attract a new wave of watch aficionados.

The year 2022 was a watershed moment for Hautlence as Samuel Hoffmann took the helm. While keeping the company's established orientation consistent, Samuel brought in a new era of fresh ideas and energy with the introduction of a new brand concept and product strategy. The Linear and a revised Vagabonde, both set in a more athletic steel casing, are the products of this new phase for the Maison, which fuses mechanical and kinetic craftsmanship in an enthralling demonstration of invention and movement.

Notably, the GPHG Innovation Award-winning Sphere Series 1 was unveiled in 2023. It was a revolutionary watch with a retrograde minute and a three-dimensional rotating sphere.

With a dedication to innovation, craftsmanship, and originality, Hautlence continues to captivate watch enthusiasts across the world with its visionary timepieces as it enters its next phase. The most exciting part is yet to come in the narrative.

As a unique commemorative watch in celebration of Hautlence's 20th anniversary, this year's model draws inspiration from the brand's rich history of innovation, artistry, and originality.
